2022 WWBA Summer Workout Showcase (July 19)
Chris Walker is a 2023 OF/SS with a 5-11 156 lb. frame from Harvest, AL who attends Sparkman. Showed plus speed with a 6.52 second sixty. Primary outfielder with a medium frame and slender build. Covers ground well in the outfield with longer strides fielding the ball out front and doing a nice job of getting on top with a short quick arm stroke showing average arm strength. Gets the ball out of the glove quickly on the infield after receiving it out front with some confidence in the glove and showing well going to the left and making an accurate throw on the move. Right-handed hitter, starts with the hands away from the body in a narrow stance. Drops the hands into the slot early before working uphill through the baseball with a longer path that provides some punch with strength in the hands at contact. Good student.
