2018 South Prospect Showcase
Jaxon Weber is a 2021 LHP/1B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Carrollton, TX who attends Hebron HS. Medium build with room to fill out. Utilizes a high-3/4 arm slot, with a loose and fluid arm stroke. Sound delivery with good extension out front showing good flexibility and athleticism. Has the ability to reach both sides of the plate with his fastball, commanding cut action to his extension side as well as solid run with slight sink to his arm side. Aggressive approach with his fastball, which sat in the middle-80's, topping at 86-mph while maintaining his velocity throughout the outing. Slider is presently his primary secondary pitch that is still developing but does show potential. Shows mound presence and field s his position well. Defensively his best position was in the outfield, showing smooth and easy defensive actions, solid footwork and a clean arm action with accurate throws. Has an aggressive approach at the plate that looks to drive balls to the pull side of the field, showing present raw power in the bat that generates carry from an open stance with a leg lift trigger for timing. Interesting follow for 2021 grad, committed to TCU.
