Colton Stafford is a 2021 C/OF with a 5-6 130 lb. frame from Harleton, TX who attends Harleton. Compact frame with a lean build. Projects for additional strength with continued maturity. Primary catcher with a balanced stance while receiving. Soft hands and worked through exchange with fluidity. Created some momentum to the bag at release generating accurate carry to the bag. Topped at 68 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 2.27. Right handed hitter with a crouched, even stance and simple front side trigger. Stays on back side and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose, extended hand path to baseball with an uphill barrel plane through extension. Primarily looked to work to the middle of the field with a line drive approach. Drops barrel head to pitches located down in the zone well with the ability to generate lift. Good student. Tools will continue to develop with maturity and repetition.
