Kaden Smith is a 2021 C/1B with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Reidsville, NC who attends Western Alamance. Large frame with strong, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.54 seconds. Hits from even-based stance with low back elbow, toe tap trigger, coils back into load, line drive swing plane with quality bat speed, good strength when square, whole-field approach, impacts the ball pull-side when on time, good projection in terms of hit and power tools. Worked out behind the plate, side-saddle set with solid hip flexibility, shows good lateral agility, receives well, longer stride out of crouch into throws, clean transfer, lower slot throws, clocked up to 73 mph with best pop time of 2.09 seconds during drills. Excellent student.
