Ryan Peterson is a 2021 C/1B with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Virginia Beach, VA who attends First Colonial. Big and strong athletic build. Left handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a high back elbow load he works through properly, gets his strong lower half into his swing to help generate bat speed, ball comes off the barrel hard and can drive the ball up the gaps, best when he's turning the barrel, took very good swings against a quality left handed pitcher. 7.36 runner, has good arm strength behind the late and good footwork into his throws, tends to get too busy in his pre-receiving set up and can improve his lower half flexibility and agility. Also plays first base and looks comfortable and athletic at that position with soft hands. Bat is his tool. Outstanding student. Named to the Fall Atlantic Coast Top Prospect List.
