Christian Sabatino is a 2024 SS/RHP, 2B with a 5-1 110 lb. frame from Bayville, NY who attends Portledge. Young, square shouldered frame with a projectable build, has room to grow and develop at maturity. Ran a 10.17 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front, gets tall at release on throws and can continue to incorporate additional footwork into actions, shorter arm stroke through the back, arm strength on throws will continue to develop. Also pitched, short side step at start of delivery, leg lift up to belt and utilizes a short stride down the mound, longer arm action through the back working to a three-quarters slot; pitched exclusively off of fastball, topped out at 57 mph, worked around the zone and pitched to contact. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box; pre-pitch movements to actions and utilizes a toe tap trigger for timing. Longer swing path through the zone with a linear path, contact oriented approach, bat speed will continue to develop with added strength, put the ball in play to all fields.
