Clayton Rentschler is a 2022 OF/RHP/IF with a 6-0 149 lb. frame from Riverton, IL who attends Riverton. Slender young build with lots of room to get stronger. 7.33 runner in the sixty, has a long and loose arm in the outfield with developing arm strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a low hand set, rotational upper body swing with a line drive swing plane, front side comes off early at times causing his barrel to lag behind, middle of the field contact. Also pitched, works from the stretch with a high leg lift start and drop and drive actions down the mound, long arm action from a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 77 mph, mostly straight, did a good job of throwing his fastball for strikes to both sides of the plate. Getting stronger will be the key to his taking the next step in his development. Good student.
