2022 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 15)
Tyler Rowling is a 2024 SS/2B with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Aldie, VA who attends Paul VI Catholic. Medium current frame with a lean build and room to add overall muscularity. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.00 seconds flat. Primary IF, showing good footwork as he worked behind the ball putting him in position to use clean, smooth glove action. Good midline transfer and good life to his overall actions. Arm strength is a tool up to 82 mph and showed the feel for multiple slots based on the play. Also took reps from the OF showing solid fundamentals, clean gather and accurate throws here as well. RHH working from an even base and small leg lift to generate his power. Swing is well connected for the most part, with emerging bat speed as he used the middle of the field. Created solid backspin line drives, getting on plane and displaying some natural loft. Very good student, performing well in the classroom.
