Preston Snead is a 2021 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-3 220 lb. frame from Frisco, TX who attends Wakeland. Big and strong physical build. Right handed hitter, sets up with a big leg lift raise and lower half coil, got his foot down on time at this event but may have to cut it down as pitchers get better, has a short and quick swing that has plenty of lift to it, showed good patience and pitch recognition, crushed two home runs in the games to show his strength and power potential. Moves well for his size at first base defensively, has confident actions and fields the ball cleanly with sound fundamental footwork, makes accurate throws. Very good student. Named to the Lone Star Showcase Top Prospect List.
