Mark Rutherford is a 2024 C/1B, IF with a 5-9 180 lb. frame from Tuscaloosa, AL who attends Homeschool. Medium build with current strength to the frame. Ran a 7.81 in the sixty yard dash. A primary catcher, gains ground with quick feet, transfer quick and consistently. Short arm action and gets rid of it, gains ground with minimal effort. Popped a 2.10 in drills with very good mechanics. Secondary outfielder, works through the ball with confidence, good angles and timing with his glove, accurate to the bases. A switch hitter. Left handed, he starts open with a wider base, coils deep with a full load, strong swing with a hard turn. Right handed, starts balanced with higher hands, leg lift trigger and gets on plane early. Good barrel speed, feel for the barrel and the ball jumps. Power potential from both sides. Very good student.
