Dominic Gerbasio is a 2023 3B/RHP/1B with a 5-11 205 lb. frame from West Babylon, NY who attends West Babylon. Recorded a 8.20 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, broad shouldered frame with present lower strength. Primary third baseman with deliberate footwork throughout the fielding process, a slightly deeper funnel out in front and some lateral range to either side. Works downhill through the baseball and showed the ability to change arm slots when necessary. Recorded arm strength up to 74 mph across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher that works from an abbreviated windup with hip coil and big shoulder turn into balance. Uses a shorter stride out to foot strike and displayed some drop-and-drive lower half mechanics. Fastball worked in the mid-70s for most of his outing, touching slightly higher and topped out at 78 mph in this look. Strike thrower that creates some natural arm-side run due to lower three-quarters arm slot, mixed in developing breaking ball that varied in shape and will need some refinement to become a serviceable secondary offering. Took part in the first baseman portion of the defensive workout as well, showing similar deliberate footwork around the bag and decent turns to throw. Recorded arm strength up to 73 mph. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, even base with a high hand set, high back elbow and small forward stride. Middle-of-the field approach with slightly lofted stroke and some quickness to his hands. Displayed some strength at impact and occasional line drives from gap-to-gap. Will continue to improve with minor swing adjustments and additional strength. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
