Jonathan Jones is a 2019 SS/2B with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Macon, GA who attends Howard HS. Recorded a 7.45 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with some athleticism to the build and lots of room to fill out and add strength. Primary shortstop with good range to either side and is light on his feet. Mobility works well into the fielding actions and can remain balanced while on the run. Righthanded hitter with a wide base and a square stance. Patient approach and allows the ball to travel deep. Low hand set with present bat speed in the swing. Upper half dominant swing with a direct path to contact. Downhill swing plane and is looking to drive the ball into the air. Swing projects with additional strength and can improve with additional shift through the lower half. Good student.
