Chase Taylor is a 2019 C/OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from West Jordan, UT who attends Copper Hills. Medium frame with a strong, athletic build. Ran a 7.18 sixty-yard dash. Primary catcher with a balanced, athletic stance while receiving the baseball. Gains ground while working out of crouch with quick, sound footwork. Clean exchanges while working through transfer and released from a compact arm slot. Throws produced accurate, on line carry to the bag topping at 76 miles per hour. Best workout pop time of 2.00. Right handed hitter with a narrow, upright stance and large leg lift trigger. Shifts weight into contact well with linear lower half actions. Flashed good bat speed and present strength at contact with a naturally leveraged barrel plane. Ball jumped off the barrel with authority when squared and utilized a gap to gap approach. Excellent student. Named to the 2018 Rocky Mountain Showcase Top Prospect List.
