Thomas Gfell is a 2021 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-0 205 lb. frame from Norwalk, OH who attends Norwalk. Thick young build with some present strength. Medium length takeaway in back to a low 3/4's to almost sidearm extended arm slot, pretty consistent in his mechanics and release. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, pretty straight for his low slot and has the potential for more movement. Sweeping breaking ball has lots of depth moving away from right handed hitters. Right handed hitter, short stride into contact, tends to leave his weight on his back side, short line drive swing plane, works the ball to all fields and finds the barrel consistently. Good student.
