Cody Christman is a 2022 3B/RHP with a 5-10 215 lb. frame from Providence Forge, VA who attends Walsingham Academy Upper School. Large frame with broad shoulders and a solid build. Primary third baseman with smooth paced, deliberate footwork while working to the baseball. Bends at waist while funneling the baseball and worked through exchange with a loose arm swing. Released from a three-quarters slot topping at 73 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and simple front side trigger. Works to contact with rotational actions. Direct hand path with a line drive barrel plane. Barrel enters and exits the zone quickly. Displayed developing feel for the barrel while employing a mid-field approach. Flashed some pop to the gaps when on time and squared. Also pitched utilizing a compact side step to short leg lift delivery. Compact arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball generated solid downhill plane in the low to mid 70's, topped at 74 miles per hour. Curveball had 11/5 shape with solid spin and occasional depth. Good student as well.
