Zurcher is a slender athletic 5-11 sophomore middle infielder from Tennessee with a young and projectable body. Zurcher showed surprising bat speed for a young 145 lb athlete, with a tall stance, good loading action and some whip to his swing. More strength will definitely help Zurcher but he has a good offensive base to work from. We may not have seen Zurcher at his best defensively. His arm strength was fine but he showed a long arm stroke. His overall actions were raw but very promising. He’s a good athlete and should continue to develop. Zurcher is also a very good student.
