Alex Pimentel is a 2019 OF/MIF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Anaheim Hills, CA who attends Villa Park HS. Recorded a 6.48 second 60-yard dash time. Medium, athletic frame with plenty of present quick twitch muscle and athleticism. Primary outfielder who plays though the ball very well with clean actions. Reads hops nicely and funnels smoothly. Quick through the exchange with a higher arm slot and arm strength recorded up to 82 mph. Righthanded hitter with a shorter swing that has some lift and flashes of bat speed. Consistent barrel skills with some linear shift. Simple leg lift trigger into the swing with a balanced stance and a loose hand path. Can turn the barrel and work to the pull side with some pop. Good student. Named to the 2018 West Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.
