Ben Buchman is a 2021 C/OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Chapel Hill, NC who attends East Chapel Hill. Medium frame, skinny with room to fill and some time to do so. Ran a 7.13 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, sets up behind the plate in a deep crouched stance, developing use of his lower half into throw downs, arm strength flashed but will improved with refinement to his drive to second base, 1.95 second best pop time. Secondary outfielder, moves well to and through the baseball, showcased a quick release and athleticism in doing so, good arm strength topping out at 88 mph from the outfield. Lefthanded hitter, leans onto his backside at load, creates some hand quickness and a flat path through the hitting zone, can get the bat head out in front with some impact momentum, will continue to improve jump with strength.
