Canaan Garrett is a 2019 SS/2B, 3B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Pell City, AL who attends Pell City. Medium build, stocky frame with present strength especially in the lower half. Ran a 7.20 second 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves to the ball well, glove works nicely out in front, good overall fielding actions, clean exchange from glove to hand, lower arm slot throws with average arm strength across the diamond, topped out at 80 mph during infield drills. Righthanded hitter, slightly open stance, simple swing that is easily repeatable and he does so well, could utilize lower half more into the swing for added pop off of the barrel, gets rotational at times, showed that he can hit the ball to all fields mainly on the ground, flashed some strength off the barrel.
