Eduardo Lopez is a 2006 2B/OF from Rio Pedras, Puerto Rico with a 5'8", 155 lb. frame. Eduardo has a lean athletic build, with outstanding defensive tools. At shortstop Eduardo is very smooth and a natural fielding the ball. He covers a lot of ground, and has a very quick release on his throws. One area that will really help Eduardo will be when his arm strength continues to improve, as he already has outstanding defensive tools in his place. Eduardo is also one of the fastest players at the showcase, which is another tool that can not be taught. At the plate Eduardo has a very level swing, that helps him put the ball in play and take advantage of his speed. Eduardo Lopez currently has some outstanding defensive tools that could translate well to the next level with added strength and improvement in his game.
