Sebastian Pelayo is a 2019 SS/2B/3B with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Mountain View, CA who attends St. Francis HS. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, higher waist with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.17 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves well to the ball and fields out front, funnels into a quick transfer, lower and tighter release on throws, can implement additional lower half into actions, arm strength will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with an even stance and a high hand set and in the box. Does a nice job of staying short to the ball and shows quickness to hands while creating separation out front. Find the barrel well and remains compact through zone, linear path with a middle of the field approach. Good student.
