Joseph Myers is a 2020 MIF/RHP/3B with a 5-9 135 lb. frame from Tigard, OR who attends Tualatin HS. Young, projectable build with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build and room to fill throughout moving forward. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front, takes longer strides moving to the back hand with balanced, wide base when fielding, overall arm strength will continue to develop moving forward, gets under throws at times. Also pitched, quick tempo to delivery with a step back before belt high leg lift; full arm action through the back working to an over-the-top release point. Short stride with lower half, fastball topped out at 71 mph with occasional short running life; curveball showed 11-5 shape at 63 mph and depth when on top. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Simple mechanics and remains short to the ball, upper body dominant swing with a short shift through lower half. Long finish through the ball, able to work all field with contact, will continue to make strides with added strength. Very good student.
