Deven Jones is a 2019 RHP/ with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends Gwendolyn Brooks College Prep. Medium athletic build, room to get stronger. Long and loose arm action with good arm speed, high 3/4's arm slot, good tempo to his delivery, tends to drift out to his front side and open up early causing inconsistency, will need to stay back longer. Mid-80's fastball, mostly straight with some downhill plane and running action when in the zone. Curveball lacks ideal velocity but has tight spin and sharp breaking action with 11/5 shape. Developing change up. Has gained 4-5 mph velocity in the last year and has more in there with adjustments and additional strength.
