Easton McKenzie is a 2021 2B/SS with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Commerce City, CO who attends Riverdale Ridge. Medium, square shouldered frame with present strength to frame and additional room to develop. Ran a 7.76 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, takes longer strides moving towards the ball, worked through the backhand, developing footwork, clean and deliberate actions, shows accuracy on throws and can drop slot on release. Lefthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and high hand set and back elbow at the plate; short stride moving into contact with a double toe tap trigger. Stays short to the ball with swing and creates extension out front, shows a handle for the barrel. Works the middle and pull side parts of the field, flashes strength when squared up and turning the barrel.
