Brandon Salmans is a 2020 RHP/1B with a 6-5 175 lb. frame from San Antonio, TX who attends Reagan HS. Tall frame with a slender, lean build and lots of room for physical projection. Primary righthanded pitcher with a short stride down the mound and a crossfired front landing leg. Longer arm stroke with a hook in the arm circle. Fastball recorded up to 81 mph with occasional life and can challenge hitters up in the strike zone. Good curveball that projects nicely and can land effectively for strikes. Flashed a changeup and filled up the strike zone nicely. Delivery and arm projects with added strength and lower half development. Secondary first baseman with smoothness to the arm stroke and moves off the bag well for size. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set and high back elbow. Consistent contact and long levers create natural leverage. Consistent contact to the middle of the field with a line drive result. Good student.
