Hayden Lewis is a 2022 RHP/3B/OF with a 5-10 135 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Chaparral HS. Medium and lean frame with room to fill and time to do so. Ran a 7.80 second 60 yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins his delivery with a side step up to a belt high leg lift, takes his arm back to a full and loose arm action working up to a varying arm slot, works his arm from a high 3/4 arm slot to a side arm slot for additional deception to hitters, throws with intent, best when staying online to the plate and releasing fully out in front. Fastball topped out at 82 mph flashing occasional life, mixed in a pair of breaking balls, curveball has 12-6 shape and depth when thrown from a high slot, throws a slider from the lower arm slot, developing feel of his changeup. Secondary outfielder, arm works from the outfield producing carry and accuracy to his target, similar arm action and arm strength as on the mound. Righthanded hitter, begins his swing a short leg lift trigger, bars hands at load, longer swing with consistent barrel feel and projection still remaining with additional strength. Great student.
