Brendon Hunt is a 2021 OF/RHP with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Cedar Park, TX who attends Vista Ridge. Recorded a 7.21 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium frame with long levers and some present athleticism. Primary outfielder with active footwork into and through the fielding process, gathering cleanly off his front foot and maintaining momentum through release. Displayed ability to stay on top of throws, delivering online, accurate throws recorded up to 82 mph in drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Fairly simple delivery with slightly higher than belt high leg lift, slight drop and drive lower half mechanics and some effort through release. Works from a compact, higher three-quarters arm slot with short, segmented arm stroke on the backside. Fastball worked in the low-80s for the duration of his outing, topping out at 83 mph in this look with occasional cut to it. Breaking ball is still in the developmental stages with sharp 12-6 shape when thrown with conviction and out in front. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and leg lift trigger. Pull-side approach with aggressive lower half and quick in-and-out of the zone swing plane. Does exhibit strength in his hands and the ability to impact the baseball when on time and in sync. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and minor refine of pitching delivery. Excellent Student.
