Jacob Galloway is a 2022 C/UT with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Camarillo, CA who attends Harvard-Westlake. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders, has present strength to frame and sports additional room to grow and develop moving forward. Ran a 7.44 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set behind the plate with flexibility to actions, gains short ground with lower half and can continue to incorporate additional lower half, smooth transfer into a tight release, gets on top of throws well and accurate to correct side of second base, quickness to arm, overall strength will continue to develop, blocked well in game and shows agility moving side to side. Similar arm action from the outfield, on top of throws with good energy through the ball, quick transfer and release. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a high leg lift trigger and showed nice timing with it at the plate. Shorter swing path and direct to the ball, shows a handle for the barrel and squared it well in live action. Occasionally gets to front side early with leg lift trigger but shows steady line drive contact while working the middle and pull side parts of the field. Named to 14U West Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
