Carter Elliott is a 2023 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Yucaipa, CA who attends Yucaipa. Large, athletic frame with present strength proportioned nicely throughout frame. Right-handed pitcher, balanced delivery and incorporates lower half well in delivery, clean operation with some effort at release, longer arm swing in the back with very good arm speed coming through up to a high three-quarters release point. Works down the mound well, fastball comes out of hand well, topped out at 87 mph w/ some cut action. Late biting slider with maintained arm speed and tunneled release up to 79 mph, throws it with intent and shows lateral bite while mixing a deeper curveball at 74 mph which he lands for strikes as well. Right-handed hitter, begins with an open stance and a tight hand set; utilizes a small stride moving into contact. Short path to the ball, gets downward with entry path at times, best when working on a linear plane with a pull side approach, line drive contact when squared. Good student.
