Cedric Hunter is a 2006 OF from Martin Luther King High School in Decatur, Georgia, with a 6'0'', 170 lb. frame. Fluid defensive player with smooth actions in center field. Hunter has good instincts and a quick first step that help him get good jumps and show range in the outfield. He has a strong arm (85 mph) with online carry and accuracy. An all-around defensive outfielder who makes it look easy. At the plate he is a left handed hitter with a smooth swing. He was a little too passive in his first at bat, and a little too aggressive in his second at bat. He then settled in and showed his skills. He has plus bat speed with balance and leverage in his swing that helps produce raw power. When Hunter takes an easy swing, his head stays on the ball and he can still drive the gaps with authority and is one of the best hitters in the country. He uses the whole field and makes adjustments with his hands. Hunter has great upside and will hit for average and power at the next level.
