Gary Scannavino is a 2023 OF/SS with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Stockton, CA who attends St. Mary's. Medium frame with a young, lean build showing room to fill out physically in the future. Ran a 7.20 second sixty yard dash. Primary Outfielder, proving to have some range as he took efficient routes to and through the baseball. Clean gather out front and then works smoothly into transfers. Arm strength starting to show as he threw it 80 mph with accuracy to the bag. Fundamentally sound with his footwork and projects in the outfield going forward. Secondary Shortstop, showing some bounce in his actions as he proved to move athletically to the baseball. Feel for the glove showing as he scooped it up and worked quickly into transfers. Accurate from multiple slots as he threw it 78 mph during drills. Right-Handed Hitter, starting balanced and in line with slight bat wrap over the helmet. Loads up and then strides out to a closed off position. Hand speed showing as he got the bat head out front and looked to pull the baseball when possible. Big cuts with every swing as he looked to do damage on every pitch. Outstanding Student.
