Charles Richmond is a 2021 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-3 225 lb. frame from Indianapolis, IN who attends Park Tudor. Extra big and strong athletic build. Runs very well for his size, 7.19 in the sixty. Has solid athletic actions at first base defensively, has quick hands and shows lateral range along with good arm strength, plenty of athleticism to play the corner outfield positions as well. Left handed hitter, hits from tall and narrow stance, has an aggressive swing that is well timed and generates very good present bat speed, showed pull side power and squared the ball up consistently, has a high ceiling as a hitter. Also pitched and showed two-way potential on the mound. Long and loose arm action from a 3/4's arm slot, good extension to the plate at release. Mid-80's fastball topped out at 87 mph, mostly straight and thrown for strikes will mix in a 2-seamer at 83 mph with some run and sink. Showed feel for both a curveball and change up. Good student, verbal commitment to Butler. Named to the Midwest Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
