Sebastian Ruiz is a 2019 SS/RHP, IF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Diamond Bar, CA who attends Diamond Bar. Large frame with an athletic build. Ran a 7.02 sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with easy, fluid actions while moving to and working through the baseball. Funnels out front well and worked through exchange well. Showed good range to each side. Released from a three-quarters arm slot showing developing accuracy to the bag at 76 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a crouched, slightly open stance and medium leg lift trigger. Created some linear shift into contact with lower half. Loose, extended path to contact with a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. Looked to employ a high contact approach while working to the middle of the field. Good student as well.
