Cohen Bettencourt is a 2025 C/RHP, UT with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Charlotte, NC who attends Charlotte Christian. Recorded a 7.25 second sixty-yard dash. Primary catcher sets behind the plate with a low, wide base and employs soft hands creating a good transfer as he gains ground to second base accurately throwing 71 mph with a pop time of 2.15. Secondary right-handed pitcher moves with a full windup and a short side step into a belt high leg swing with a short stride to the plate. Bettencourt has a compact arm action and shows good arm side run on his fastball topping 77 mph. He also mixes in a good slider that has good tilt while maintaining good command of the zone. Also taking ground balls in the infield showing a strong arm throwing 80 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter steps to the plate with a wide stance and a bent back leg as he preloads the weight on the back side. Bettencourt has a toe tap trigger and shows quick hips as he pulls the barrel through the zone contacting the ball with good pop off the barrel showing a pull side approach. Excellent student.
