Frankie Carney is a 2022 SS/OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends St. Augustine. He has a medium frame and is a twitchy athlete. Ran the sixty yard dash in 6.70 seconds. Primary shortstop that has quick feet and smooth movements to both sides of his body. He has soft hands and a quick transfer, allowing him to get the ball out quickly. He pairs his good hands with a strong arm, throw the ball 91 mph across the infield. Offensively, he starts in an even, squatty stance and uses a simple stride for timing. His hands are quick, which helps him to generate a lot of bat speed. He has a steep upper cut swing, looking to lift balls into the outfield, especially pull side. Good student.
