Corey Brown is a 2023 1B/RHP, OF with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Acworth, GA who attends Etowah. Ran a 7.48 second sixty. Primary first baseman with a larger frame. Showed average footwork at first base working around the ball and into the double play feeds. Was Able to make accurate throws with some arm strength to each base. Fields the ball on the side in the outfield with an aggressive approach getting rid of the ball on time with a shorter arm action showing average arm strength. Shows a quiet delivery that that he can repeat at a high rate with the same short arm action working down the hill with a shorter stride. The fastball sat 78-82 mph from more of an over the top arm slot with young command. Spun the breaking ball with young spin traits through the zone as eh maintains the arm speed and will be able to develop the spin off of that. Turned over the changeup well in the low 70's as his best off speed pitch at present. Right-handed hitter, starts with an even base using a big leg lift trigger and tight hand load. The bat path works very level through the hitting zone with some jump to the middle of the filed as eh fires with good intent recording 87 mph exit velocity.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
