Elias Hanna is a 2024 RHP/1B, 3B, OF with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Lawrenceville, GA who attends Greater Atlanta Christian. Tall, lean, medium, athletic looking frame. Starts with a traditional balanced setup in the box with hands set lower on body. Showed he has good bat speed and intent as he squared up the baseball the majority of his BP round. At times gets a little to rotational and hooks balls on the ground. Current gap power. Defensively in the outfield he uses the proper foot/glove mechanics and breakdown his step on approach to the ball. Shows an excellent longer arm stroke and the ball jumps out of his hand getting good carry and accuracy ion throws to the bag. On the mound; slight off-set start; Very deliberate transition to inline balance point, holds hands at belly and works into medium in-line arm path. Loads the arm well but gets quickly into internal rotation that runs away from arm; is so linear that he has no margin for error if he begins to rotate early. The arm works well enough but he needs to get some inward turn to really load his torso. ¾ arm angle creating minimal deception. Fastball does have some ride and carry when he stays through the pitch. Curveball flashes plus bite here and there with high spin rates. Saw one changeup that was a third offering, has a chance to make a jump with some front side strength. Clocked a 7.4 60-yard dash.
