Brendan McKinney is a 2023 OF/RHP, 3B, SS with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Jacksonville, FL who attends Duncan U. Fletcher. Ran a 7.20 second 60 yard dash. A primary outfielder with some size in the frame and room to fill, fields the ball off the left foot, showed a full arm action with a high release falling off to the side with developing arm strength. On the mound, starts with a side step and belt high leg lift, showed a full arm action to a high three-quarters arm slot, fastball showed true sitting 72-75 mph with some arm speed, short stride working online to the plate, could be more velocity in there with more consistent lower half, able to control the fastball to both halves of the plate. At the plate, his righthanded swing starts with a narrow stance, showed a grooved path bath working downhill into the hitting zone. Good student.
