Nathan Pulliam is a 2022 RHP/2B, 3B, IF, OF with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Bartlett, TN who attends Home School. Medium frame with strong looking lower half and room to physically mature. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked from a simple delivery, gathering into a slightly higher leg lift and working down the slope with good lower half movements. Showed the ability to create downhill angle from a high three-quarters arm slot with good extension through release. Fastball worked in the low-80s for the duration of his outing, topping out at 83 mph in this look with good command to the all four quadrants of the strike zone. Mixed in well-tunneled curveball that flashed good spin traits to its 11-5 shape and was thrown for strikes when needed. Secondary infielder with anticipatory footwork into the fielding process, funneling cleanly out in front while showing smooth transfer into the throwing motion. Recorded arm strength up to 84 mph across the diamond. Also took part in the outfield portion of defensive workout; aggressive approach into the fielding process, gathering slightly off to the side and maintaining momentum through release. Displayed online, accurate throws that were recorded up to 83 mph in drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a lower hand set and leg lift trigger for timing. Intent based swing with aggressive approach that is well-timed and consistently on plane. Developing feel for the barrel that produced line impact occasionally to the pull-side. Solid defensive skill set with fundamentally sound actions and present arm strength. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Good Student.
