Adam Armijo is a 2022 SS/RHP/IF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Albuquerque, NM who attends La Cueva HS. Large and projectable frame with broad shoulders. Ran a 7.41 second 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, sat back on the baseball mostly during infield workouts, low effort actions with playable hands, fields the baseball while bending at the waist, developing footwork and actions that project in the future with additional reps, developing arm strength across the infield. Secondary righthanded pitcher, begins his delivery with a side step up to a high leg lift, takes his arm back to a compact arm action up to a high ¾ arm slot, works to the armside of the plate with his fastball that topped out at 76 mph, mixed in a curveball with developing spin, flashed a changeup with young feel. Righthanded hitter, sets up with an open and upright stance at the plate, young strength at the plate with some bat speed, line drive approach, will continue to improve with added strength and improved extension through contact.
