Ryan Wideman is a 2022 RHP/1B, OF with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Walton. Extra-Large frame with an athletic build showing broad shoulders and room to fill out physically, making him projectable. Ran a 6.73 second sixty yard dash. Primary Right-Handed Pitcher, working with a side step to a higher leg lift. Drives with the backside and gets down the hill. Three-quarter slot delivery with whip to the arm as he shows plenty more velocity in the tank. Fastball with hard arm side run was up to 89 mph. Mixed in a fading changeup and a sharp slider in the low-70's. Big upside on the bump and will make huge strides with slight mechanical clean-up's. Secondary First Baseman, athletic in his actions as he proved to have feel for the glove work. Scooped it up and showed proper footwork turning two. Projects at first down the road with his size and skillset. Secondary Outfielder, aggressive routes into the baseball. Clean gather to the side as he carries weigh well into throws. Released with intent and showcased the arm strength as he threw it 87 mph during drills. Right-Handed Hitter, starting narrow and open as he works into a low leg lift to stride. Generates big bat speed as he stays linear through the zone. Proved he could lift the baseball deep to the pull-side as he showed off some power. Good Student. Named to Southeast Top Prospect Games Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
