Evan Goodmon is a 2028 OF/RHP/C with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Winter Garden, FL who attends West Orange. Athletic build with some present strength and room for plenty more. Right handed hitter, hits from a medium base, has a short lift and replace load and can get stuck on his back side at times, still hand start, has quick hands and creates some bat speed, has some lift in this swing and extension through contact, works the middle of the field, can get more rhythm into his pre-swing approach but has bat speed and projection once the bat gets going. 7.05 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, aggressive to the ball, fields one handed to the side, gets on top of his throws well and creates some carry through the bag. Also caught, has young footwork and fundamentals but is a good athlete and could develop here as well with plenty of work and repetitions. Took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch with a coil over the rubber, tends to fall off to the first base side coming to the plate with his upper body. Fastball topped out at 77 mph with some arm side running life, more velocity there with better direction through release. Also threw a soft curveball with 12/6 downer shape. Very good student.
