Irwin Quezada is a 2023 SS/RHP, MIF, OF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Jersey City, NJ who attends Bergen Catholic. Recorded a 7.40 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium frame with present athleticism and room to add strength. Primary shortstop with quick twitch fielding actions and fluidity into and through the throwing process. Incorporates good lower half usage to funnel out in front with good lateral range and arm strength recorded up to 83 mph across the diamond. Shows smooth footwork with ability to throw from all angles with accuracy. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a fairly simple delivery, using his athleticism to repeat and move down the slope efficiently. Works from a loose three-quarters arm slot with ability to command the strike zone with his fastball fairly well. Fastball worked in the upper-70s for the duration of his outing, topping out at 81 mph with natural arm-side run. Secondary offering is still developing with potential for swing-and-miss pitch in the future, flashing late tilt and depth through the zone. Right-handed hitter that hits from an even based stance with a low back elbow and quick step-replace loading mechanism. Middle-of-the field approach with the ability to turn the barrel on the inner half with strength through contact. Developing consistency with bat-to-ball skill and gap-to-gap power potential as he adds strength. Overall solid prospect with physical projection remaining and more velocity in the tank on the mound. Good Student.
