Andrew Sloan is a 2022 C/3B/OF with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Sacramento, CA who attends Jesuit. Medium, athletic frame with present physical strength proportioned nicely throughout frame. Strong runner, posted a 6.68 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, square set up with a slightly higher crouch in drills, gains ground with lower half coming out, solid catch and throw skills with accuracy to second base and present arm strength and carry, repeats actions. Shows solid footwork in the outfield as well on the approach, works behind the plate, arm strength plays well with on line carry to the intended base. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open and narrow stance at the plate with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Loads well and moves into contact with balance, incorporates physical strength well. Creates very nice bat speed through the zone, gets on plane and shows ability to drive the gaps with back spin off of the barrel. Nice tools across the board. Excellent student. Named to NorCal Workout Top Prospect List.
