2021 Gulf Coast Prospect Showcase
Ryan Everly is a 2024 SS/RHP, 3B with a 5-9 163 lb. frame from Huntsville, AL who attends Sparkman. He ran a 7.59 second sixty. A primary short stop with an medium build. On the infield he receives the ball with firm hands deep funneling to the mid line as he gains ground toward the target showcasing some arm strength with good carry on his throws. On the mound he ran the fastball up to 85 mph with flashes of good arm speed as the fastball jumped on hitters with very little effort from a three-quarters arm slot with occasional arm side run throwing it glove side mostly, The slider showed short darting action with solid arm speed landing in the low 70's as a quality second pitch. Right-handed hitter, starts with a narrow base taking a bigger stride into contact as he gets back to even from a slightly open stance. The ball comes off well when he is able to match plane early and impacted ball to the pull side gap with the bat head out front. Excellent student.
