John Hernandez is a 2023 SS/RHP/3B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Boston, MA who attends Dexter Southfield HS. Recorded a 7.08 second 60-yard dash time. Athletic frame with plenty of quick twitch and present strength. Primary shortstop with solid actions and really easy athleticism to his movements. Compact and moves well to both sides. Smooth hands on the backhand with active feet and really maintains on the charge. Very good arm recorded up to 92 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a big rocker into a leg lift at the belt. Over the top slot with a compact arm stroke. Loads hard on the back hip and shows good shape and bite to the breaking ball. Really fast arm with an athletic operation and high velocity ceiling. Right-handed hitter with a balanced base, hanging leg lift trigger, and a line drive oriented stroke. Stays connected well through contact with a high hand set and a high back elbow. Good bat speed and posits some future power. Good student. Named to the Fall Top Prospect National TP List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
