Kolten Durham Washington is a 2021 C/ with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Arlington, TX who attends Creekview. He ran a 7.43 second sixty. A primary catcher with a large build with length throughout. Behind the plate he starts with a square stance reaching for the ball a bit as he receives it leading into a longer transfer, he gains ground into his throws with a short arm action, his throws were accurate with some carry and a 2.18 second pop time. In the outfield he fields the ball out front with some extra steps in the gather, his arm works long through the back stroke with developing arm speed. At the plate he starts his right-handed swing with a narrow upright stance, he works inside the ball with leverage coming through eh zone as he stays on the back side throughout the swing, worked best up the middle finding the barrel in game action as well. Named to the 2020 Gulf Coast Prospect Showcase Top Prospects List. Very good student.
