2021 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Alexander Encarnacion is a 2021 RHP with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Port St. Lucie, FL who attends St. Lucie West Centennial. Big and strong broad shouldered build with lots of strength potential. High leg lift delivery with an uptempo pace, long off line arm action in back, gets on top of the ball well coming through to release, tends to fall off hard to the first base side. Fastball topped out at 81 mph with some arm side running action in the zone, will have to make delivery adjustments to have better vertical command and consistency with his fastball. Secondary pitches were solid with better command than his fastball, curveball has some bite and depth to it, also showed feel for a straight change with good arm speed. Good student.
