Anthony Marnell, IV is a 2023 C/1B, OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Bishop Gorman. Medium frame with an athletic build. Ran a 7.75 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary catcher. Sets up in a slightly side straddle stance. Gains ground out of the stance and towards the bag. Longer arm action in the back. Creates accurate carry out of the hand topping out at 76 MPH and popping a 2.03 during workouts. Also worked out as a secondary outfielder. Deliberate close to the ball with a field to the side. Clean glove actions into exchanges. Accurate throws to the bag from a three-quarter slot at 81 MPH. Switch hitter with a wide stance and leg lift trigger for timing. Finds the barrel well from the left side on a line drive path. Generates some occasional jump out in front. Good student as well.
