Dante D'Avanzo is a 2023 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Ashland, MA who attends St. Mark's. Medium frame with athletic, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.38 seconds. Speed plays up in games, stole several bases in game play. Hits from even-based stance with high hands and back elbow, leg lift trigger, found consistent barrel in gameplay, middle-field approach with ability to work to all fields, projects well for power as he gains strength. Worked out in the infield, comes through the ball well, transfers cleanly and shows quick and compact release, clocked up to 79 mph on throws. Also pitched, short stride downhill with some recoil at release, high 3/4 slot with good plane, fastball worked 79-81 with good arm side life, shows big-breaking curveball with depth as well. Good upside all-around. Good student.
